Aims & Objectives
The aim of the course is to give the candidate the keys skills to deal with an incident at the road side. Subjects covered include

Trauma & the mechanism of injury
Protecting the scene & snatch rescue
Introduction to Basic Life Support
Basic Life Support practical
Spinal management
Removal of the crash helmet

The course has been approved by The faculty of Pre-Hospital Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh

The course is also supported by Devitt Insurance

Course Duration

6 hours including lunch

Delivery Technique

This course is delivered via a range of techniques including:

Instructor Led Presentation
Group Discussion
Practical Sessions

The amount of different methods of presentation is flexible to suit the needs of the group.

Course Assessment

Course Certification

All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate valid for two years.

General Information

The days are run at either the Grantham or Boston centres. Cost per person is £65 + vat
