Automated External Defibulation

Aims & Objectives

The aim of this course is to give the practitioner the skills needed to an A.E.D. Subjects covered include Scene assessment and safety, Primary assessment, Care of the unconscious casualty, Adult CPR,(cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Management of adult choking ,Use and safety considerations of an AED Basic scenario training, Reporting the use of an AED, Advanced scenario training.

Course Duration

4 hours excluding breaks

Delivery Technique

This course is delivered via a range of techniques including:

• Instructor Led Presentation
• Group Discussion
• Practical Sessions

The amount of different methods of presentation is flexible to suit the needs of the group.

Course Assessment

This course is subject to ongoing assessment by the Instructor throughout the course. There is no final assessment. Competency based documented assessment ensures the required level of understanding.

Course Certification

All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
