First Person on Scene – Basic
The FPOS Basic course has been developed in partnership between the Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD), the leading awards body (Edexcel) and the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
The course is designed to extend a first aiders basic skills to a level where they can rapidly assess, stabilise and manage a casualty until handover to a medical service professional can be facilitated. This period of time is crucial to the success rate for the patient.
