Pre Hospital Trauma Care
Aims & Objectives
The aim of the course is to give the candidate the key skills and informaton to deal with Mechanism of injury, Patient assessment, Airway management, Patient extrication and immobilisation, Analgesia, Shock, Spinal trauma, Head and facial trauma, Thoracic trauma, Abdominal trauma, Musculoskeletal injuries, Burns and thermal trauma, Eye injuries, Paediatric and elderly patients in trauma.
Course Duration
12 hours excluding breaks over two days
Delivery Technique
This course is delivered via a range of techniques including:
- Instructor Led Presentation
- Group Discussion
- Practical Sessions
The amount of different methods of presentation is flexible to suit the needs of the group.
Course Assessment
This course is subject to ongoing assessment by the Instructor throughout the course. There is no final assessment. Competency based documented assessment ensures the required level of understanding.
Course Certification
All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate which will be valid for 1 year.
